Let’s embark on this
multilingual journey of learning together!
I am a teacher, educator, researcher, linguist, mentor, public speaker, writer & advocate specialized in multilingual education, migration, teaching & earning, teacher training, education, & humanizing, narrative & arts-based research.
About me
I am passionate educator and linguist dedicated to the art of multilingual education and teaching. As a Fulbright Fellow, I earned my PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Florida, specializing in Bi-/Multilingual Education and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Currently, I am excited to be a Visiting Researcher at the University of Oslo, where I also worked as a postdoctoral researcher fellow at a center of excellence, Center for Multilingualism in Society across the Lifespan (MultiLing).
With a rich background in teaching, research, and advocacy across Poland, the US, and Norway, I thrive on connecting with students, teachers, educators, researchers, and all communities from all walks of life. My professional and academic journey has taken me from working with teachers of migrant-background students in rural Florida, to co-creating multilingual self-portraits with Chechen refugee-background students in urban Poland and learning about language experiences of Polish adult migrants in Norway and fore-fronting their stories. Whether in the classroom or through research projects, I’m committed to promoting linguistically and culturally sustainable education that empowers learners, teachers, and societies.

My Story
We are all stories…
I grew up, studied, lived, and worked in the US, Poland, France, Belgium, Indonesia, and Norway. Being on the move from a very young age, being raised bilingually in the US and Poland, attending schools and universities around the world, and coming from a multigenerational migrant family gave me first-hand experience on what it means to be a multilingual learner of migrant background.

My Work

Teaching
I have a diverse teaching background, instructing teachers in Multilingualism, Multilingual Education, Effective Teaching Methods, and Language Learning; tutoring and mentoring students; and leading workshops for educators, all focused on promoting educational equity and empowering multilingual and migrant-background communities.

Research
My research focuses on the experiences of teachers and migrant students in the US, Poland, and Norway. As a postdoctoral fellow, I explore linguistic discrimination against Polish migrants and amplify marginalized voices through critical narrative methodologies.

Advocacy
As a young undocumented migrant from Poland, I actively advocate for migrant families facing injustices. My efforts include organizing sustainable conferences, providing virtual English lessons, and leading workshops for refugee tutors, guided by a commitment to educational equity.
